Grandma's Advice

My grandmother was a very special woman to me. She and my grandfather helped take care of me a lot when I was little, because my parents had a TON of work meetings that I couldn't go to (or fancy vacations!). She always spoiled me, even in my adult life. I miss her terribly...

This was one of the last photos of us taken together. It was 4th of July, about a year before she passed away. She was awesome to say the least!

I used to help her clean her house when I was really little, and she taught me something interesting....
You know how after a long time of use, your dishwasher gets that rusty color on the inside? Or maybe it gets scaly if you have hard water...?

She used Tang, the powdered drink mix to clean her dish washer! She would put it all over her dishwasher (without dishes in it) and she would run the dishwasher like normal, just no soap!
When the cycle was done, she'd open the dish washer and it looked brand new. Crazy, right?

For really tough spots, put some Tang onto the rough side of a sponge, and scrub with a little bit of water. Just one of Grandma's tricks to share!
